By Kevin McCallThe Marist College Center for Career Services will host its first ever virtual career fair for students. The fair will be held from 3-6 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020, in FoxQuest. The Fall 2020 Virtual Career and Internship Fair is open to students of all class years and majors and professional attire is recommended. Students must register for the virtual career fair in FoxQuest ahead of time in order to participate. Watch the video below for the full registration instructions. During the virtual career fair you will have the opportunity to network with employers through one-on-one or group video chats. Some employer representatives will be Marist College alumni. This video from Symplicity gives a quick overview of the virtual career fair layout and shows how the event will run in FoxQuest. After you log in to the virtual career fair you will join queues of the employers that you wish to speak with. You may join up to three employer queues at one time. Once it is your turn in the queue, the employer representative will invite you to meet with them via the link to their video conferencing software. We recommend that you become familiar with the variety of software that employers will be using for the virtual career fair. These platforms include Zoom, WebEx, and Microsoft Teams. For more information see our best practices for before and during the virtual career fair. If you have further questions or need assistance preparing for the Fall 2020 Virtual Career and Internship Fair please schedule a remote appointment with a career coach using FoxQuest or email us at [email protected].
